Natively, we are engineers that work with corporate IT infrastructures. We got involved with the point of sale aspect of things initially by restoring operation on troubled systems. We found that most of the issues that we were frequently dealing with were entirely avoidable. The common concept that seems to be absent is that sales terminals, credit card machines, receipt printers, etc. are network devices, and in order for them to function reliably, you need a properly built network infrastructure for them to communicate on.

We then started to provide service for restaurants and retailers by being there from day one.
